Each of our practitioners weaves together a number of different therapeutic approaches in their work so that your therapy is custom fit to you, as opposed to you feeling like a square peg in a round hole. You do not need to know which approaches would be right for you prior to coming – this can be discussed with your therapist in your intake session. When working in an integrative model, multiple approaches can be drawn from in the course of one appointment in a seamless way, while other sessions may be focused more heavily on one modality. You may be curious or have questions about different approaches if you are new to therapy, or you may have past counselling experience and already have a good sense of what works for you.
Our therapeutic modalities can be practiced across from one another in a seated position, lying on the massage table, or standing involving more active, movement-oriented exercises. Touch may or may not be involved, depending on the modality, practitioner, and your comfort level and goals. Your right to choice is paramount.
