Tiffany Burtch

Tiffany Burtch, MSc, RPTiffany Burtch, MSc, RP
Registered Psychotherapist
Intermediate Level Somatic Experiencing Therapist
Room 349

Tiffany’s roots started on a small farm. Humble beginnings have led her to embrace humility in healing. Her first healing resource was the environment. This beginning has guided Tiffany to use the wisdom that is inherent in herself, in each of us and in the world to guide her in health. Nature has taught her to bring connection, attunement and authenticity to her life, her body and into the therapy room. It is clear to anyone that speaks to Tiffany that she is excited about the process of therapy and loves to meet new clients. She is skilled at getting her hands dirty in the earth and in people’s stories.

Tiffany is a registered Psychotherapist in the province of Ontario and has a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy and an Undergraduate Degree in Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies. She has worked in the mental health sector with children and adults of all ages dealing with a number of issues including attachment, trauma, couple and family relationship difficulties and a number of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder. Because of Tiffany’s background in sexuality she is happy to work with people of all sexual orientations, genders, sexual preferences and relationship configurations.

Tiffany’s experiences with children – in mental health, working at a camp and as a mother invites her to bring creativity and playfulness into therapy while creating trust and dependability. She strives to create a space where people have the freedom to be themselves and to feel safe. Tiffany’s ability to accept people in a non-judgmental way allows them to be fully themselves. Tiffany views each client relationship and each client story as a sacred gift.

Services With Psychologist Supervision
Please complete these forms if you have insurance coverage for services under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist. Sarah works under the supervision of Dr. Julianna Switaj for a portion of her practice.

Dr. Switaj is a licenced clinical and counselling psychologist. She sees individual adults with a variety of mental health and personal development issues from diverse cultural backgrounds. She is involved with the assessment of disability and treatment of psychological sequelae of physical injury and pain resulting from Motor Vehicle Accidents and Workplace Accidents. She also works with clients with a range of “complex” presentations including those with mood, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar, PTSD and borderline personality disorder.

She uses varied treatment modalities (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT; Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, DBT; Mindfulness Based Mood Regulation, Naturalistic Hypnosis and Client Directed Education) determined by psychological assessment and ‘best fit’ for client’s goals and resources. Julianna has a Positive Psychology slant on mental health and wellbeing, seeking to uncover and nurture creative ability and talent to make life more fulfilling rather than merely diagnosing and treating mental illness.

She has practical and theoretical interests in three main areas: Mind-body-spirit medicine, psychological after effects of prior concussion and the challenges of people living with partial complex seizures and epilepsy.
