Through numerous experiences in her professional and personal life, Kari has been privileged to witness and accompany individuals on journeys from deep suffering to profound healing and personal growth. She is deeply committed to supporting people in becoming fully present to their authentic selves, and finding the balance, regulation, and peace within their own lives and bodies.

Kari completed her Master of Social Work degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has worked in numerous sectors of the social services, including hospital and community settings, supporting individuals who have experienced acute and developmental trauma, sexual assault and domestic violence, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and emotion dysregulation. Kari has a rich creative background in music and theatre arts; she was drawn to these fields by the deep empathy embodied in their explorations of what it is to be human, and their honouring and expression of emotional experience.

Kari continues to pursue extensive ongoing training, with particular interest in understanding patterns of behaviour and experiencing that arise as we seek safety in our environments and within our own bodies, recognizing what is happening in our bodies and our brains as we work towards integration of our experiences, and unblocking our natural human momentum and flow towards healing and wholeness.
